My poor baby boy has to wake up so early in the morning. I wake him up at 5:40 every morning and put him in the tub to try to wake him up. One morning I bathed and washed his hair all while he stayed asleep. I then let out the water and he still stayed asleep. He just rolled over. Two days later he was so tired that when I put him on the counter to brush his teeth he just curled up and went back to sleep.

Catching Up
Rani gave me a little grief the other day at lunch since I haven't written for a bit. Sometimes I truly believe that no news is good news. Nothing significant has happened the last couple of weeks. And that is good! The kids are all doing well in school; it is already almost mid-term! It is going so fast. Ty is liking his school and he seems to be learning. He is starting to learn some sight words and it is fun to watch him get excited to read. Braden is in the middle of his soccer season and their team is doing pretty good. Tanner has a new toy called a rip-stick which is kind of like a skateboard but w/ only two wheels. I have tried it and lets just say it requires some coordination and maybe being under 30! Alex has been shooting hoops a lot lately, getting ready for the season. It is fun to watch Lee and Alex play. Lee still wins but it is getting closer and closer!

School Friends

I love this picture I got w/ my phone. This was the first day of school and after helping Tanner find his classroom (a portable in a school that is only 5 years old) he walked off with this girl he knows.

Help! I've Fallen And I Can't Get Up!

Apparently turning 37 isn't agreeing with me. Early last Friday morning I heard the garage door open. I went running down the stairs to see why Lee had come back home and stepped on a spray bottle that had been left on one of the stairs. As I went down I grabbed the railing to keep from falling but my right foot twisted down under. It really hurt; I thought I had broken it. Since then it has been really sore especially when it twists a little bit.
Then today I was jumping on the trampoline with Ty. We were taking turns doing front flips. My mom was watching us. I wasn't landing my flips and she asked why. I told her I was afraid of over rotating and flipping off of the tramp. She told me I was too old to do this anyways. Well, I certainly didn't want to hear that so I decided to show her. I did my front flip and landed but like I was afraid of, kept going. I flipped right off of the tramp. It was really wierd because even though it happened so fast it seemed really slow. As I was going off of the tramp I grabbed the frame which maybe slowed me down. As I flipped in the air a shot of pain went down my right leg. I landed on my neck and then my legs came down and hit the ground. As I laid there I remember thinking that this is it, I broke my neck. I'm paralyzed. There was shooting pain through both of my legs, but especially my right one. They kind of tingled. Lee and my mom were right there immediately as they saw the whole thing and I could tell for a second they were really worried. Lee grabbed my hand and asked if I was OK. I laid there for a bit just trying to move my feet and hands and decide if I was OK. Thankfully I was. After laying there for a minute Lee helped me up.
It's really strange because even though I am fine other than a pulled muscle in my leg and a very sore neck I can't help thinking what could have happened. How easily I could have broken my neck. I could have landed on my head. I could have hit the frame of the tramp. I truly feel I was protected today and am grateful that my body held up. No more flips for me!

Summer Is Over!
It has been a while since I posted anything as my laptop has had issues. The last month or so has been crazy busy! Braden and Alex played in a couple of soccer tournaments. I went to Chicago and then a few weeks later, Tulsa, for work. We went to St. George. Me and Ty had birthdays in August.
Last weekend, Rani and Andrew invited us to stay in their cabin in Island Park which was so much fun! Braden, Alex and Lee all wakeboarded and I water-skiied for the first time in about ten years. Tanner and Ty had so much fun swimming in the lake. We saw a bald eagle and a golden eagle. We also went to Yellowstone and the kids had a great time in the river and then at the Firehole swimming.
On the 25th school started! Yeah! It is so crazy to think that I have a kid in high school and one in kindergarten. All four boys are in different schools this year; Braden in high school, Alex in junior high, Tanner in elementary and Ty at a private all-day kindergarten. They are all liking school and their classes.
